What is meridians body map?

The meridian body map is a concept in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that outlines the flow of energy (qi) through the body along specific pathways called meridians. These meridians are believed to be connected to different organs and bodily functions.

There are 12 primary meridians, which correspond to the 12 major organs in TCM, and 8 extra meridians. Each meridian is associated with certain physical and emotional symptoms, and TCM practitioners use this knowledge to diagnose and treat various health conditions.

Some common meridians include the lung meridian, which governs respiratory functions and immunity; the heart meridian, which governs emotions and circulation; and the kidney meridian, which governs reproductive functions and fluid balance.

The meridian body map can be used in acupuncture, acupressure, and other TCM modalities to stimulate or balance the flow of qi. By understanding the meridians and their corresponding functions, individuals can also be more mindful of their health and well-being, and make lifestyle choices that support their meridian health.
